முருகனே! உன் திருவடிகளில் அணிந்துள்ள தண்டை, கிண்கிணி, சதங்கை, குளிர்ந்த கழல் மற்றும் சிலம்புகள் இனிமையாக ஒலிக்க, நீ நடனமாடும் அழகை நான் காண வேண்டும்.
முன்பு உன் தந்தையான சிவபெருமானை அன்புடன் மகிழ்வித்து, அவர் ஆனந்த நடனம் புரிந்ததைப் போல, நீயும் அன்புடன் என் முன் தோன்ற வேண்டும். கடம்ப மலர் மாலை, அழகிய கிரீடங்கள், தாமரை போன்ற சிவந்த திருக்கரங்கள், ஒளிவீசும் வேல், அழகிய கண்கள் மற்றும் சந்திரனைப் போன்ற பிரகாசமான திருமுகங்கள் அனைத்தையும் என் கண்கள் குளிரக் காண அருள வேண்டும்.
பெரும் போரின்போது அண்டங்களே அதிரும்படி வீரத்துடன் போரிட்டவனே! உன் மகிமையைக் கண்டு சிவபெருமானும் மகிழ்ந்திட, நீ ஆடிய அந்த அழகிய நடனத்தை திருச்செந்தூரில் மட்டுமல்லாது என் முன்னும் அன்புடன் ஆடிக் காட்ட வேண்டும் என்று அருணகிரிநாதர் வேண்டுகிறார்.
வள்ளியின் அழகிலும் நறுமணத்திலும் மகிழ்பவனே! அகத்திய முனிவரால் வணங்கப்படும் பெருமானே! எனக்கும் அந்தத் தெய்வீகத் திருக்காட்சியை அருள்வாயாக.
Arunagirinathar longs for a direct vision of Murugan dancing before him. He imagines the anklets, bells and ornaments on Murugan's sacred feet producing a delightful rhythm as the Lord dances.
He asks Murugan to appear adorned with the Kadamba garland, beautiful crowns, lotus-like red hands, the radiant Vel, shining eyes and moon-like faces, so that the very sight may bring coolness and joy to his eyes.
The hymn also evokes Murugan's immense divine power in battle, when the worlds themselves seemed to tremble. Yet the poet's deepest request is intimate rather than martial: “Just as you performed your divine dance and brought joy to your father Shiva, come before me and dance with that same loving grace.”
The hymn concludes by praising Murugan as the beloved of Valli and the Lord worshipped by Sage Agastya. Thus, the song beautifully moves from the sound of Murugan's anklets, to his divine form, to cosmic power, and finally to the devotee's simple longing for a personal vision of God.

இது அருணகிரிநாதர் அருளிய திருப்புகழ் பாடல்களில் ஒன்று. இதில் முருகனின் திருவடிகளில் அணிந்திருக்கும் தண்டை, கிண்கிணி, சதங்கை, கழல், சிலம்பு ஆகியவற்றின் இனிய ஓசையை மனக்கண்ணில் காணும் அருணகிரிநாதர், முருகனின் அழகிய திருக்கோலத்தையும் அவரது நடனத்தையும் தன் முன் காண வேண்டும் என்று ஏங்குகிறார்.
பாடலின் மைய உணர்வு வெறும் முருகனின் உருவ அழகை வர்ணிப்பதல்ல. சிவபெருமானின் திருநடனத்தைப் போல, முருகனும் தன் முன் அன்புடன் நடனமாட வேண்டும் என்பதே அருணகிரிநாதரின் வேண்டுதல். கடம்ப மாலை, அழகிய மகுடங்கள், தாமரை போன்ற சிவந்த கரங்கள், வேல், முகங்கள், சந்திரனைப் போன்ற ஒளி ஆகியவற்றுடன் முருகனின் முழுத் திருக்காட்சியையும் காண விரும்பும் பக்தனின் ஏக்கம் இதில் வெளிப்படுகிறது.
