மங்களத்து நாயகனே மண்ணாளும் முதலிறைவா

மங்களங்களை அருளும் தலைவனாகவும், உலகின் முதற்கடவுளாகவும் விநாயகர் போற்றப்படுகிறார். அழகிய பெருவயிறும் ஒளிமிக்க திருமேனியும் கொண்ட அவர், சிவபெருமானின் மகனாக இருந்து அடியவர்களின் சங்கடங்களை நீக்கி, குடும்பத்திற்கு விடிவிளக்காக அருள்புரிபவர் என்று முதல் பகுதியில் வணங்கப்படுகிறார்.

அப்பம், பொரிகடலை, அவல், வாழைப்பழம், மோதகம் போன்றவற்றை பக்தியுடன் படைத்து, எப்பொழுதும் விநாயகரை வணங்கி அவரது அருளுக்கு உரியவராக வாழ வேண்டும் என்ற வேண்டுதல் அடுத்த பகுதியில் இடம்பெறுகிறது.

மனம் சலனமின்றித் தெளிவு பெறவும், செய்த தவறுகள் நீங்கவும், உள்ளத்தில் நினைத்த நல்ல விருப்பங்களை விநாயகர் அருள வேண்டும் என்றும் வேண்டப்படுகிறது. இறுதியாக, இன்று தொடங்கும் பணியும் இனி மேற்கொள்ளும் எல்லாப் பணிகளும் விநாயகரின் பணியாகவே ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளப்பட்டு, அவர் துணைநின்று காத்தருள வேண்டும் என்று பக்தியுடன் பாடல் நிறைவடைகிறது.

The hymn praises Lord Ganesha as the auspicious leader and the foremost deity who removes difficulties. He is celebrated as the radiant son of Lord Shiva, the light of the devotee's family, and the compassionate Lord who destroys obstacles and brings hope and prosperity.

The devotee lovingly offers appam, roasted gram, aval, banana and modakam to Ganesha and prays for the blessing of worshipping Him continually and living under His divine guidance.

The hymn further asks Ganesha to remove faults, steady the mind and grant clarity and fulfilment of righteous wishes. It concludes by surrendering every present and future undertaking to Ganesha, asking Him to accept these works as His own and protect the devotee throughout them.
